Welcome to the Madness :) About Me!
If you're anything like me, I love a good About Us Page. I'm grateful you're here and joining along on my crazy journey! My story might sound familiar - a 20-something who decided to minimalize, pack up into a van, and hit the road for the adventure of a lifetime. If you check out YouTube, you'll find a whole community of women like me, venturing into the unknown and capturing their adventures.

From a young age, I've been fascinated with traveling. I was homeschooled for most of my life, and as part of our geography lessons, my mom would find videos of the places we learned about. These videos helped us visualize these locations and learn more about their history, culture, food, music, religions, and so much more. I was instantly hooked, and in an age where YouTube was the ultimate social media, watching travel vloggers made me feel that someday I, too, could explore the world.

I've always been extremely career-motivated so the thought of quitting a day job to make social media my primary focus never seemed realistic. After getting my dream remote job in March 2024, I decided it was time to finally pursue something I had been dreaming of for so long. In July 2024, I bought my 1996 Dodge Roadtrek, Mighty Mo, and began the process of giving her some love and updates for our journey.

​I won't be traveling alone – my adventurous cat, Haven, will be my companion on this journey. Together, we'll explore new places, meet new people, and experience all the beauty and excitement the road has to offer. I'll be hitting the road full-time in October 2024, and I am thrilled to share all of my experiences and adventures with you all!

Mighty Mo
The Van, The Myth, The Legend
Mighty Mo is a 1996 Dodge Roadtrek. I bought her in July 2024 from a couple off of Facebook marketplace and am very excited to begin my journey with her! She came in pretty good shape already, but I am adding many new things and updates to get her ready to hit the road in September.

Haven
Otherwise known by her variety of nicknames (Havoona, Baby Bear, Little Dragon, Booshka, Snuggleufagus, Little Baby, and sometimes when bad - Haven McFarland Duplechin)
Haven was adopted in 2019 after I saw a picture of her on Snapchat. Someone had posted looking for someone to take in a small white kitten they had found. When I went to meet her, she had the biggest blue eyes and immediately started licking me (she still likes to do this and I can only think it's because she thinks I'm dirty). She had nerve damage on her right side causing her to limp while walking and had burn marks on the top of her ears. After a month or two, she quickly recovered and became an absolute terror of a kitten, but also the funniest cat I know.
​
It was absolute love at first sight and she quickly became my adventure partner! Haven loves roasting in the sunlight, staring out of windows in judgement of everyone around her, exploring outside, and most of all - getting in some snuggles with mom.
